انتخابات 2019/ اللجنة المستقلة توزع معدات الانتخابات بين جزر الاتحاد
في وقت مبكر من صباح يوم الأربعاء 20 مارس تم توزيع معدات الانتخابات وذلك بنقلها عبر طائرة إلى كل من جزيرة أنجوان وموهيلي.
وستصل تلك المعدات إلى مخزن اللجنة الانتخابية التابعة لكل جزيرة ومن ثم مراكز الاقتراع حسب خطة اللجنة الانتخابية المستقلة لتوزيع المعدات.
يكون بذلك قد تم كل الاستعدادات لإجراء الجولة الأولى للانتخابات الرئاسية والمحافظين في ال24 من مارس 2019
ويدعى الناخب القمري لاختيار واحد بين 13 منافس لرئاسة الجمهورية و تسعة (9) و ثمانية (8) و خمسة (5) مرشحين لانتخابات المحافظين وذلك بالترتيب في كل من جزيرة انغازيجا ( القمر الكبرى) و أنجوان ثم موهيلي
ويذكر أن الرئيس المنتهية ولايته والمرشح كذلك في الانتخابات عثمان غزالي قد أجرى استفتاء لتعديل الدستور مما يسمح للرئيس المنتهية ولايته الترشح مباشرة لولاية ثانية وقام غزالي على إثره باختزال مدة رئاسته والدعوة إلى انتخابات رئاسية مبكرة
