في العاشر من سبتمبر هذا الشهر قرر مويني بركة سعيد صالح محافظ جزيرة انغازيجا الأسبق، والذي كان حينها رئيس المجلس الانتقالي المعارض، زيارةَ الرئيس عثمان دون تنسيق مع المجلس مما أثار غضب المعارضين في الداخل والخارج واعتبروها خيانة لهم خاصة في ظل حبس أحمد عبد الله سامبي زعيم حزب جُوَا، أكبر كيان في المعارضة، دون محاكمة منذ أكثر من أربع سنوات وكذلك غيره من الذين تعتبرهم المعارضة القمرية سجناء سياسيين
وكان الجزاء الأوّلِي ضد مويني بركة، الذي أعلن أن لقاءه بالرئيس بهدف تهدئة الأوضاع السياسية ومناقشة مسائل تتعلق بحياة المواطن اليومية، هو تجريده من منصب رئيس المجلس الوطني الانتقالي المعارض من خلال بيان نُشر في الحادي عشر من سبتمبر الجاري
إلا أن مويني بركة، الذي يتمسك برجاحة موقفه، لم يقبل إقالته من رئاسة المجلس فقام يوم أمس بإصدار بيان يحمل اسم المجلس يثبّت نفسه رئيسا له مما ألزم أعضاء المجلس من جديد في الرد عليه وأصدروا يوم أمس 14 سبتمبر بيانا آخر يؤكد عدم استمرارية مويني بركة في المنصب داعيا الأعضاء إلى التصويت للمرشح الوحيد أحمد محمود المحامي والمرشح السابق لرئاسة الجمهورية
ويذكر أن المجلس الوطني الانتقالي كيان مكون من مرشحين خاسرين في انتخابات الرئاسة والمحافظين في جزر القمر عام 2018 في مسمى يوحي على أنه حكومة موازية إلا أن رئيسه آنذاك أكد أنه ليس كذلك بل إنه تنسيق للمرشحين الرفضين حكمَ غزالي والذين رأوا عدم شرعية رئاسته للجمهورية بسبب ما يصفونها بانتخابات رئاسية مزورة قادته إلى الحكم
