نفت الدكتورة سعيدة محمد المديرة الإقليمية لمكتب منظمة الصحة العالمية في جزر القمر وجود أي لقاح ضد فيروس كورونا المستجد في جزر القمر، وذلك في مواجهة الإشاعات حول مَصل تم اقتراحه لبعض الدول الأفريقية لتجريبه على الأشخاص في مواجهة فيروس كورونا
وأكدت سعيدة محمد أن الأمصال المستخدمة في جزر القمر موجودة منذ سنوات عديدة وتتعلق بتطعيمات عادية للنساء الحوامل والأطفال، ونفت بشدة وجود لقاح ضد فيروس كورونا حتى هذا الوقت ولم تتلق جزر القمر قط أمصال ضد كورونا ، وتدعو الأهالي إلى احترام تلك التطعيمات العادية لحفاظ أولادهم من الأمراض الأخرى مثل الحصبة الألمانية وشلل الأطفال
وفيما يتعلق بجزيرة مايوت المحتلة فقد سجلت حتى الـ 5 من أبريل 164 إصابة وتم تسجيل في اليوم نفسه 17 حالة إصابة ، وقد شفي حتى الآن 15 حالة من المرض وتوفي شخصان كان وضعهما الصحي في حالة تدهور قبل الإصابة حسب السلطات الصحية في الجزيرة
ومن جانب آخر، فرضت وزارة الاقتصاد والاستثمار أسعارا محددة للمنتجات الضرورية وذلك بعدما شهدت الأسواق المحلية نوعا من الاستغلال في ظل إجراءات الوقاية من فيروس كورونا المستجد، ووعدت الوزارة المخالفين بالملاحقة القضائية ، وستراقب تطبيق قرارات الوزارة كل من الإدارة العامة للتجارة والاقتصاد، والإدارات الإقليمية للتجارة الداخلية، والولايات والبلديات وكذلك قوات الدرك والشرطة الوطنية
ومن جانبها أخطرت وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي، المؤسسات التعليمية والأهالي أنه سيتم استئناف الدراسة في الـ 16 من مايو 2020 وذلك بعد أن كانت قد أعلنت في الـ 2 من أبريل تعليق الدراسة التي كان من المقرر استئنافها في 5 إبريل إلى أجل غير مسمى
